Stampin' Pretty Pals April Blog Hop!!!

2013aprhop_badge

Thank you for joining us for the April Pals Blog Hop!
To celebrate Earth Day, the April blog hop  features new cards and projects that capture the essence of Earth Day through colors and images and/or use recycled or reused elements. We hope you are ready for some fun and creative ideas.
You should have just left stop number 5 on the Pals Hop
If so, you are in the right spot.  If you get off track, the full blog lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

My card below is in celebration of Earth Day.  What wonderful gifts our planet gives us!!  I love flowers!!  In many of my cards you see I have created flowers that feature different levels of dimension and complexity.  However, today I decided to do a simple wild flower spray to show the simplicity and elegance of what Mother Nature gives us!!  What do you think?

Usually I leave the inside of my cards blank, but I decided this time to add the sentiment inside to keep the focal point of the flowers.  This card is obviously for my sister.
It's to show my appreciation for her support she has shown me
while on the college search with my daughter.

I decided to use a fun color combination of Regal Rose and Whisper White.  I used the "Amazing Family" stamp set from our Spring catalog.  The flowers were created using "Simply Soft" now retired from our 2011-2012 Catalog.  Reusing this set is also a way we can recycle items in our craft room once in awhile too.  I colored the flowers using Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue stamp pad with the watercolor pen.  I love the soft muted colors this created!!  Last, I used the "Distressed Dots" pad  for the envelope and background on the card.  To add just a little more dimension, I used the hole punch to emphasize the dots on the sentiment.

Now, as an added bonus, take a look at this pile of scraps and packing below from my Stampin' Up shipments.  Look familiar?

This month is to celebrate not only Earth Day, but the "art" of recycling.
Come back Thursday to see what I have done with this pile!!!
What could I possibly create with this Stampin' Up pile of scraps and packing?
I can't wait to show you!!!

I hope you enjoyed my card!!!  As always, I love to hear from you!!!
The next stop is Peggy Noe at prettypapercards.com,
stop number 7 on the Pals Blog Hop!
Thanks for visiting – and I hope to see you next month!
