PPA 314: A Fresh Start

Hi stampers!!  It's been way too long since I've been on my blog.  I've been working behind the scences with the team, but took a break from posting and cards.  My move from Texas to Washington has been a wonderful and challenging physically and emotionally.  I left so many wonderful people behind that I miss terribly.  However, I have met some incredible individuals and have seen some incredible places in just the short time I've been here!

Below is my card for today.  It's reflective of where I'm at right now.  Clean, simple and straight forward.  LOL!!  There's a lot to be said for this place.  I can't wait to work more in my little space and see what I can come up with next!!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!!  Come join us at the Pals and show us your creations!!  I can't wait to see what you show us!!
Have a fabulous day!!

PPA 294: Flowers for Spring!

Hi stampers!!  Boy do I have a treat to share with you today!!  First, we have to thank Dawn for a creative sketch this week with the Pals!!  Fabulous job!!!  In addition, I thought I would also share with you the glorious Spring we are having in the Pacific Northwest!!  Flowers are starting to bloom everywhere!!  When I saw Dawn's sketch, I thought immediately of a wreath some flowers sprinkled throughout.  Here's my card below:

I can't wait to have one hanging on my door!!  As a treat, I'll share with you my Spring time inspiration.  This past weekend, I decided to get out and explore.   We are having some beautiful weather!!!  So I jumped in my Jeep, pointed her in a direction and drove.  Look what I found !!!  Fields and fields of flowers!!  The yellow field are daffodils and the rest are tulips.

Oh what I would done to be able to go out and bring some back with me!

Last, but not least, a spectacular sun set to finish off the day!

PPA 290: A Bunny Bum!

Hi stampers!!!  This week we have a great sketch from Patti!!  How fun!!  I'm so ready for Spring and some warm weather that as soon as I saw the sketch I saw a bunny butt!!  I know, I know, but I couldn't help it!  LOL!!  So why not?  LOL!! Here's my card below:

I made the bunny butt by using the circle punch and then using the scallop punch on some tissue paper for the tail.  To make the tail fluffy, I snipped around the scallops and then scrunched it all up.  The feet are made using the large and small oval punch.  For the toes I used the hole punch.
What do you think?

Thank you for visiting my blog today!
I love to see your comments!!  Tell me what you think of todays project.
Have a fabulous day!!

PPA 288: Gift from the Garden

Hi stampers!!  I'm so excited to be the featured artist this week over at the Pals Paper Arts!!  What an honor!!!  This group is just amazing and so much fun!!  It's just a shame we all live in so many different parts of the country!  We could have some REALLY fun card parties together every week!

For the sketch I could not make up my mind on the colors!!  I wanted to have some sort of garden theme.  Spring is starting to peek out here in Bellingham.  I saw some crocus today in the lawn and just wanted to jump for joy!!!  I started off with Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke, then went to Blushing Bride, Whisper White and Pool Party.  I FINALLY decided on Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Whisper White.  Whew!!  Here's my card below:

The stamp set I used is Gift from the Garden.  I just love those little garden boots!!  I then decided to add some pearls to show them off.  To give the little flower pot some dimension, I fussy cut the pots and flowers.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!!  I love to see your comments!!
Have a fabulous day today!!

PPA 284: Casino Cards

Hey there stampers!!  I hope everyone enjoyed a fabulous three day weekend!!  I know I did!!  I went back to Texas for a couple of days and snuggled with my fur babies!  Oh I miss them!!  Before long they will be joining me in Washington.

My card this week really took me out of my box!!  I didn't know what I was going to do until I was traveling.  This time I took a shuttle instead of driving.  On the way we dropped off people at the Casino both trips to and from the airport.  Then, while on the airplane, I watched Casino Royal.  I guess we have theme going on here.  LOL!!  I decided then I needed to try and make a couple of playing cards.  Here's my card below:

What do you think?  I thought it would be fun to keep in theme of the weekend.  The spades were made from the same SU Heart punch.  I punched the hearts close together and then used the left over in between to make the stem.
Clever right?  LOL!!!

I hope you enjoyed my post today.
