PPA 288: Gift from the Garden

Hi stampers!!  I'm so excited to be the featured artist this week over at the Pals Paper Arts!!  What an honor!!!  This group is just amazing and so much fun!!  It's just a shame we all live in so many different parts of the country!  We could have some REALLY fun card parties together every week!

For the sketch I could not make up my mind on the colors!!  I wanted to have some sort of garden theme.  Spring is starting to peek out here in Bellingham.  I saw some crocus today in the lawn and just wanted to jump for joy!!!  I started off with Crumb Cake and Always Artichoke, then went to Blushing Bride, Whisper White and Pool Party.  I FINALLY decided on Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Whisper White.  Whew!!  Here's my card below:

The stamp set I used is Gift from the Garden.  I just love those little garden boots!!  I then decided to add some pearls to show them off.  To give the little flower pot some dimension, I fussy cut the pots and flowers.

PPA 286: Topsy Turvy Owls!!

Hi everyone!!  What a fabulous sketch by Linda Callahan!!  I really had some fun this week with my card!!  I thought it would be so much fun to do a silly Valentines Day card.  For some reason I just want to fill that box with something topsy, turvy and goofy.  LOL!!  Here's my card below:

Doesn't this card just make you smile?  I know I did!!  This owl punch is just so much fun!  These little critters are just adorable!!

PPA 284: Casino Cards

Hey there stampers!!  I hope everyone enjoyed a fabulous three day weekend!!  I know I did!!  I went back to Texas for a couple of days and snuggled with my fur babies!  Oh I miss them!!  Before long they will be joining me in Washington.

My card this week really took me out of my box!!  I didn't know what I was going to do until I was traveling.  This time I took a shuttle instead of driving.  On the way we dropped off people at the Casino both trips to and from the airport.  Then, while on the airplane, I watched Casino Royal.  I guess we have theme going on here.  LOL!!  I decided then I needed to try and make a couple of playing cards.  Here's my card below:

What do you think?  I thought it would be fun to keep in theme of the weekend.  The spades were made from the same SU Heart punch.  I punched the hearts close together and then used the left over in between to make the stem.
Clever right?  LOL!!!

PPA 282 - A Retro New Year

Happy New Year fellow stampers!!!  This year will bring lot's of changes to the Pals and for me personally too.   The Pals have decided to change things up a bit to keep things fun and interesting!  We decided to go Retro!   How fun!!!   For me, I accepted a new job in Bellingham, Washington!  For many of you this comes as no surprise.  Ever since my daughter started school here, I just fell in love with the area.  I'll make sure and post some of my new adventures once I get settled.  I can't believe it's 2016!!  WOW!!  Does time fly!!

This week we have our first sketch of the year.  Here's my card below:

I had so much fun with this card!!  I finally get a true winter here in Bellingham!!  LOL!!  This card represents a winter wonderland that I hopefully will get to experience!!

PPA277: Clean and Simple

Hey stampers!!  I hope of you are ready to enjoy a day of feasting with friends and family!! I think Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year.  I love to cook, create a beautiful table and visit with the special people in my life.  I'm so thankful for all the blessings this holiday.  

This week we have a cool sketch!  Everyone one on the Pals team had such cool interpretations of this sketch.  So creative!!   I decided to go outside my comfort zone and try a clean and simple card.  What do you think?

PPA 275: Hey, Girl

 Hey there Stampers!!!  This week we had some fabulous Fall colors!!  I was so tempted to pull out the leaves, the pumpkins and burlap.  However, I really wanted to do something different and fun.  Here's my card below: 

Several items from the bows, balloons to the little mustache on the dog are all paper pieced together.  What was I thinking?  LOL!!!  Well she looks like she's ready for a party!!  LOL!!

PPA 273: Leepin' Leep Frogs!!

Hi stampers!!  Look at this fabulous sketch this week!!  This really had me stumped!!  What in the world was I going to make?  Then I saw these cute little frogs from "You're Sublime"!  Aren't they just adorable!!  The "reeds" are the little ferns from "Awesomely Artistic".
