PPA 205: Daydream Medallions

Hi everyone!!!  It's Thursday and it's time for another sketch for the Pals Paper Arts!!  Design team 2 has come up with some fabulous projects this week!!!  For my card, I decided I needed some sparkle to brighten my week.  I used glimmer paper and rhinestones until I could find no other spot to put them!!  LOL!!  Here's my card below:

The stamp I used was Daydream Medallions.   The idea original idea came from my sister-in-law Steffanie Lazzell when we were together last November.  I was going through a very low point in my life. She and I sat in my craft room talking and just playing with my stamps.  We talked, cried, schemed and stamped until we were forced to quit.  This was the beautiful color scheme she came up with during that moment.  She made two, adhered them together and turned it into a Christmas ornament.  A natural!!!  Shortly there after, she became a demonstrator and a member of our fabulous Pals group.  Woot, woot!!

Thank you for visiting my blog today!!  I love to see your comments!!
Let me know what you think!  Below is a list of supplies.
As always, if you have any questions,

Summer Flowers for The Paper Players

Hi everyone!!!  This week at the The Paper Players, Ann is your hostess for a wonderful clean and simple "Floral" card.  This challenge is right down my alley!!!  I love flowers any time of the year, but especially in spring when the Peonies bloom.  We don't have Peonies in South Texas, so I just have to fondly look at pictures on the internet.  LOL!!!  Anyway, here's my card below for this fabulous challenge.

The card is simple, but is also gives you the "Wow" effect.  The colors are bright and there are not a lot of layers.  I absolutely love the "Spiral Flower Die"!!  It's also continued in the new catalog too!!!  Woot, woot!!!  However, this bright and cheerful DSP called "Gingham Garden" is not.  So if you like this paper, get out there and order it while supplies last.  Remember to stop by the
The Paper Players and play along!!

http://stampinpretty.typepad.com/.a/6a00e54f95df92883401a3fd049352970b-pi

Welcome to the May Pals Blog Hop. This is the first hop on our new day - the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin' Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say goodbye to our favorite retiring products. This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the
2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from  Beth Beard at My little craft blog, number 9 on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

Today's card I used Oh Hello stamp set and the Watercolor Wonder DSP.  Both of these lovely items will not be continuing into the new catalog.  I just love the flowers in this set.  Depending on the color, you can have them be a Texas Primrose or a Yellow Buttercup.  Love them!!  The DSP is absolutely a favorite.  I could seriously hoard this paper!!  Ut oh.... :C)
Here's my card below:

The next stop is  Debbie Mageed at Secret Stamper,
number 11 on the Pals Blog Hop!

Pals Paper Arts: Color Challenge 203

Hi everyone!!!  It's time for another fabulous color challenge for Design Team 2!!  This week the colors were truly a challenge for me!!  My creative brain just could not dream up what to do with this palate!!  That's when I realized I needed to dig deep and find the inspiration!!  These colors are outside my box!!  That's exactly what I need to grow in my creativity!!  How do you like that for a pep talk!!! LOL!!  Anyway, this is the card I came up with below:

I opened up the fold below so you could see more dimension.

These colors were very masculine.  I decided to grab one of my favorite stamp sets, By the Tide.   How do you like the bubbles?  This was done with a pencil eraser dip in ink and then stamped to look like bubbles.   This card is another "Z" fold card.  They are so easy and so versatile!!

Thank you for visiting my blog today!!  I love to see your comments!!

Mother's Day Gift Set

Hello friends!!!  This past weekend I did a special Mother's Day class with several students at my University.  We had so much fun!!  We usually get together once a month and create a couple of cards either for a special occasion or just to have on hand.  Many students don't have a car, so it's nice to be able to have cards right at your finger tips for friends and family.    This time we did a gift set for Mother's Day.  What do you think?

Here's a close up of the card:

....and all together again.

This week at the Paper Players they have a theme challenge, Mother.  Please join them in honoring our Mother's or those who have been like a Mother to us.  If you're a Mother yourself, then make sure you do something special just for you this weekend!!
